English day à Saint-Thomas — Institut Saint Thomas de Villeneuve - Chaville

English day à Saint-Thomas

On February, 2nd, all the children from PS to CM2 were invited to celebrate English-speaking countries around the world.

Many of them came to school wearing school uniforms inspired by English schools, some of them brought English books and others brought delicious food and treats such as baked beans, scones, short bread….to share with their classmates. Among the items brought to school, there was a UK plug adapter and a kangaroo skin !
Students from 4eme et 3eme from St Thomas were invited to some primary classes to read stories in English to the children. This was a lovely moment for everyone. At the end of the day, all the children were invited to a typical English afternoon tea, where they shared scones, pancakes, blue berry muffins, cookies and cranberry juice, while listening to some music.
This day was a great success and we all enjoyed celebrating English-speaking countries. The purpose of this day was to open the children’s minds to different cultures and we can say that this mission was accomplished.

A huge thank you as well to all the parents who contributed to that lovely day.
